Razr HD KitKat update downgraded AVRCP

2015-11-18, 23:10 PM

I noticed that after updating the Razr HD XT926 phone from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2, the AVRCP version dropped from 1.4 to 1.0. I am conducting some testing and there are very few devices out there that support absolute volume and Razr HD was one of them. Now after update that was completely removed and I see the AVRCP version as 1.0. This is very disappointing and creates a really bad user experience when it comes to listening to audio on bluetooth speakers. Is there a reason behind the downgrade?

I really couldn't tell you, but maybe there was an issue and by downgrading it the software worked without the bug? Not sure, just total conjecture on my part. Wish I could help more.
