GMail

2013-03-13, 12:24 PM

In ICS I was able to choose multiable messages to either delete or move to a new label.   Under JB I seem to have lost that fuction.  Did I miss something or is that the way it is now.

Thanks

When you bring up the Gmail application and your messages are displayed, do you not have check boxes to the extreme left of each message?   If so, you can tap on those to select the message and go right down and select more if you wish.  Once you have selected all you want to work with look a the botttom of your screen, your icon options of what you want to do with the messages should be displayed there.    --- Dan

Looking at another Raza and seeing it had that ability I research and found in setting that it had a check box to turn that on and off. Somehow it had been check to take away the boxes.   Thanks

Long press the first message you want to select then short press the other messages. After all messages are selected press the label menu on the bottom.

That's peculiar, I'm running Jelly Bean and have the check boxes on my Gmail.    --- Dan

Koolaide2, would you be kind enough to tell me what version of Gmail is installed on the Droid RAZR MAXX running Jelly Bean?    It's under settings >apps > all > Gmail   FWIW, mine is 4.2.1 running JB on the RAZR HD.      TIA    --- Dan

Thanks, it makes me wonder why that's toggled on by default.  Surely that must have been an oversight.  IMO     --- Dan
