Geez....I'd be happy with a maint. release to ICS 4.0.4

My wife's Google Nexus 7 tablet (that arrived with Jelly Bean 4.1 out of the box) was automatically updated over the air to Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 yesterday.

The Xoom is supposedly in the middle of it's OTA roll-out.  Haven't gotten the update on mine yet.

Same here hoping it resolve my signal issues. If nothing in the next week or so, guess I will have to drop $649.00 (actually less due to BestBuy's buy back program, but not sure how much less) and try out the new Maxx HD. Don't want to have to do that because I really like my MAXX, but the signal issues are driving me crazy.

I'd be very leery of a new model not having the same issues.  It's been happening at least since the X.  Just sayin.

Since they are probably already working on the 4.1, would imagine that it would depend how much they would have to do to change what they have done. We did get 4.0.4 vs. 4.0.3, and it was reported somewhere (don't remember where - maybe here) as one of the reasons for the delay for the ICS update.

If not too much involved changing gears from 4.1 to 4.2 midstream, would think 4.2.

Yeah - but would have 14 days to take it back and try something different. Didn't have this problem until after the ICS update. Really want to stay with Moto, but don't like the M, and don't want to go the refurb route. So just hoping they either come out with something to fix this, or the new MAXX HD doesn't have the issue.

Really think the ICS update did something to the phone as that is when it started and the only issue i am having.

Hopefuly there will be a lot of posts regarding how it is so i know before i buy.

Well some current "rumors" refer to possible moto nexus devices, the codenames are said to be "occam" for the phone and "manta" for the tablet. I would love to see a moto nexus phone but these are just rumors. There is a google event scheduled for the end of the month, maybe there will be some news about moto jelly bean upgrades either at that event or on the moto upgrade page on the first of the month...

@Nanniepoo are you talking about the Verizon Xoom or the WiFi Xoom?
