Re: Nougat Update Issues

I have tried every thing, including changing the wifi channel in both 2.4g and 5G. It doesn't work. It will go back to doing it within an hour. I have also tried factory data resets as well. Nothing solves the issue. I have sent a message to an executive at Verizon and getting ready to send one to a Motorola executive. I am going to tell them that I will file a complaint with the BBB, and if that  doesn't solve it, I will file a lawsuit and try to get  it turned into a class action suit. I have a feeling that this will wind up in court. Also, I will.not talk to a customer service representative that doesn't speak clear English. That ticks me off.

I see a few issues you reported, but nowhere do i see that you have had your phone repaired or replaced under warranty - I assume your phone is still under warranty as you mentioned in January post it was  6 months old.

There are many CS reps that speak english clearly, but you can always initiate a warranty issue via the chat function on the support page. Have you tried any of these remedies yet?

Re: Nougat Update Issues

I have not as of yet. I am getting ready to do so. The only reason why I have not done so yet is because I want all the relevant information I need before I contact any customer service representative.

Re: Nougat Update Issues

By the way, I have asked for some warranty repairs but I never got any email with the shipping label. Also, why on Earth would I pay 25 dollars for a warranty repair and have a 250 dollar hold on my bank account when the phone is having an issue that is covered under warranty. That is extortion. Motorola is squeezing every penny they can out of customers and not thinking twice about it.

As far as i know the $25 fee and $250 hold is for cross shipping. If you wish to send the phone in and wait for it to be repaired or replaced there is no fee or hold.

But this is a user to user support forum - I can't help with that.

Just to add, if you go through Verizon - they have differnent policies if you are an account holder. I think they will cross ship for no fee.

That is where they ship you a device before you send in your old one.  Contrast it to you sending in your phone, waiting for it to be received, and then someone sending you a replacement.

Cross ship means you don't have to wait, but the seller/servicer is at risk of loss or fraud. So there is a hold (security deposit basically).

Many manufacturers offer no cross ship option for warranty repairs. Some options are better then others. When I was with Verizon years ago, I had a problem with my Motorola Q - Verizon shipped out a replacement and a return box, and i had a few days to return my old one or they would charge my account.

So that is why i suggested checking with Verizon warranty regarding their policies. They already have a relationship with you, so they may have better terms.

Re: Nougat Update Issues

Not only am I having the same disconnect issues, but for some reason I cannot connect to networks I used regularly outside of my home network.  Even though I have the correct log-in information, password is correct, I'm getting an error that the password is incorrect.

Re: Nougat Update Issues

I have been transferred to teir two tech support with Verizon Wireless. I have told all that I have done in troubleshooting and they said that I already did everything that has been suggested to fix it. They said that I may get a different model of phone because the teir two support specialist said that is what they are going to recommend.  Fingers crossed here. I hope that this will slove the issue.
