@abrowncow - I saw on G+ someone was running a Turbo on T-Mobile. The chips are unlocked. I don't think you will get their LTE bands but GSM for sure. You will want to find spec's on handsets and compare the GSM bands T-Mobile needs to what the Turbo has. I haven't had a chance to dig into it yet. Good luck!

Edit: I misspoke, I did some checking on XDA. It looks like LTE may work. Double check all the bands though.

Well, looks like my contract renewal got here before the update for the Turbo (I honestly didn't think that had a chance of happening at the beginning of the year). It's been fun hanging out on these forums for all these years but it's time to move on to something else. For everyone that cannot move on, I wish you all luck - I'm betting 5.0 on the Turbo would be pretty sweet.

I've always heard moto has the best signal strength of all phones but I'm sitting next to a friend with an iPhone 6 who has 3 bars of LTE while I have one bar of 1x! This is my second turbo and the signal strength on both were about the same as my old Galaxy Nexus. You've really been losing moto. Just look at Nokia and Blackberry.. your next.

Is it sad the none of the phones listed, verizon doesn't have version 5.1.1 on them?  Just looked at my co workers s6 and it's on 5.0.2 and up to date, my Nexus 6 is on 5.1 and up to date, and then there is the Turbo....4.4.4

@abrowncow: Yes it does support T-Mobile LTE. Verizon on their website advertises the Turbo as Band 4/13 capable but on Motorola's website it shows Bands 2/4/5/13 capable. Band 4 is T-Mobile's Existing LTE and Band 2 is New Rural LTE Rollout's on 1900. I personally had the Turbo on T-Mobile and it was not bad. One thing though, I noticed after my Turbo was on a GSM carrier, going back to Verizon was a very big challenge as the phone did not want to activate on Verizon after that.

Thanks. I wouldn't go back to Verizon though.
