WiFi connection

I'm having trouble connecting and staying connected to any and all types of WiFi and hotspots and my mobile data is very slow even when my service is renewed. The guy at the Verizon store says it's cus my phone is old but I just bought this one brand new in April. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I will try my best to help you with this. Can you please confirm how often does it disconnect from WiFi? Can you please observe the behavior in safe mode? Here is the link.
