Joel,

Are you a two X (X and X2) household as well (supporting another household member)?

Or do you use both flavors of X phones yourself?

Just curious...

Joel,

Wow, you are truly a Moto family. Other than a couple of nieces and nephews, we are the only moto users in the family. The new Droid Razr might end up in our house if the reviews and the specs pan out.

Regarding the topic at hand, my wife (X) didn't notice any significant changes after the update.

But she hadn't reported any keyboard issues before.

If the battery usage screen is an accurate indicator, we are both still having self reboots.

I installed it.. (by the way, how do you REJECT the "push" when they're trying to update or patch?)

It does not fix my DX problem: device restarts itself after being completely shut down.  This is a known problems, a random problem, and quite annoying. I was hoping the latest patch would fix it.  No Joy.

There is usually a decline button that you can push. This sometimes will only work for a short time, like 3 declines, and then you're forced to download it. Other times you can decline it for a long time. It usually depends on if the update/upgrade is mandatory or not. Hope this helps.

I am not a Motorola/Lenovo Employee. I am just a volunteer who happens to be a Moderator. All comments are my own and are not necessarily Motorola/Lenovo's position.

The .605 update never claimed or was designed to fix anything other than the keyboard problems. I am not sure we will get many if any-more updates on this phone.

Claimed no.

Designed?

I wonder if these other stability improvements may have been identified as flaws or shared weaknesses that flowed through other parts of the OS?

Camera Button now has keyCode for FOCUS. It used to be keyCode for CAMERA. That means camera button doesn't work! damn it.

Update swapped camera button keycode from camera to focus. We can't use camera button to take picture anymore. Broke my apps. Thanks.

Does the .605 update fix problems with the Motorola Multitouch keyboard or all keyboards (i.e., Swype)? I use Swype exclusively and have noticed occasional issues but nothing major. In light of the problems some are reporting, I am inclined to skip this update.

After the update, the camera button works like it always did. Half press focuses and a full press takes the picture.
