Re: DROID X: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

Hi Matt, thanks for the update. I am happy to year that the primary

exchange issues will be fixed (not being able to connect or receive

notifications) as well as other improvements. Thank you for your attention

to this matter.

Regards,

Matt

I have a co-worker on a Droid2 that I just set up on our Exchange 2003 server (no ssl, certs, etc.) and it worked  right away, so I'm confidant my issues will be resolved with the 2.2 release - as for features, since Moto worked out the deal with touchdown, we'll have a free choice once Froyo is released, so no complaints here!

Much prefer the native app to touchdown. Even if it doesn't have all the features yet. Key word, YET.

I've never seen the native app work as I'm new to Droids.  That said, I'm very happy with Touchdown as an alternate.

Since the droid X uses a different exchange connector than the Droid 2, I

don't think we can assume Froyo resolves all issues with the X.

is that true? everything i read said that the droid2 was more a 'droid x with a smaller screen / hard keyboard' than a 'new droid1'

Re: DROID X: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

Matt,

I also would like to know if the froyo update will address the notification issues and "the not quite push email function" that it suppose to have on personal emails? Since I have seem to be having the similar issues with the thread here with exchange corporate sync. I will be satisfied at least for my own personal email if it would address push email, and notification issues?

Thanking in advance for your attention,

Tlcruiser

@ tlcruiser <https://supportforums.motorola.com/people/tlcruiser>

The "Froyo" update includes more than just Froyo. Yes, it will include the

fix for the notification issue and a fix for the push issue. Push can be

disrupted for a number of reasons, however, so the fix we have included may

not have addressed your particular issue. After you update your device,

make sure to you tell us if indeed your Push issue has been fixed or not.
