@DWG,

Can you tell us exactly what error message you are getting?

I can't believe as long as the leak has been out, they won't go ahead and

release it officially. The official version is the same thing, why not just

go ahead and release it through VW.

What does it matter if you can't go to the official. When the leak is the

exact same thing as the official. Why don't you go ahead and release the

leak "officially?"

Just curious how you can be certain that the "leaked" version is the same as the one that will be officially released?  Not questioning what you're saying but I am wondering.

They need to make tweaks to it so the official version won't replace the

leaked version.

Just to penalize the people who are "Beta Testing" for them.

Re: DROID X: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

Well, it used to say "Login failed".  So I figured I'd delete the account and start over.  Now it won't even set up the account.  It says "Login to the account failed, please try again".

Funny thing is that when I set it up the first time, it gave me 2 checkboxes to select (Use SSL; Verify certificate).  This time it's only giving me 1 (use secure connection).

Domain/User Name: firstname.lastname@companyname.com

Password: *********

Use Secure Connection (Checked)

email address: firstname.lastname@companyname.com

Server: red001.mail.microsoftonline.com

Interestingly enough, it's forcing me to use a PIN but now there's no exchange account on the phone...

You know, now that you've said that, you are probably right. They would do

that now just for spite. Especially now that its cracked, and people are

starting to make their own rims for it.

and, for those that are using TD (I paid for mine), it F's up the contacts with "Unknown" for linked profiles in 2.2  (used to do NULLs in 2.1).  I had one contact with 30 UNKNOWN Linked Profiles until i removed TD

If you can find the leaked version, you can find the instructions for

reverting back to the craptastic 2.1 version the X shipped with. The leaked

one works fine from my testing (not mine, a friends. I took mine back on day

29). I'm pretty sure I told you guys in this thread WAY back, it would take

a long time for this fix to get through Verizon's hoops and make it to your

phone. I know I'm not recommending or supporting any Motorola devices with

Blur on them now or in the future. 2.2 has been out for the Nexus One for

HOW LONG NOW? And you still don't have it. Good luck with 3.0 too, you'll

probably get Milestoned on that. And no Moto tablet for me either, I hear

Samsung is making a nice one. All of the statements I've made on this board

are strictly my opinion though and not a statement of facts (even if they

may seem that way).

Re: DROID X: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

Well now.  I'm totally confused.  I've tried for the ba-zillionth time to get it to synch and this time it decides to.

I have no idea what I did differently.  The only thing I can tell you is that I didn't use the domain "slash" before the UID this time.  It has it on my old phone.

I had done it both ways in the past (with or without the slash).  No idea why it worked. I've been dealing with this for 3.5 hours.
