Good point. Don't kill email. There appears to be some kind of relationship with syncing there.

No dice. I even power cycled the phone after changing the battery management setting to Performance. It worked for a couple minutes but then went back to its old tricks. The phone was originally set to the Smart setting, but the peak hours setting was configured to never disable the connection. Level 2 phone support instructed me to change this setting, however it was already set that way by default. Neither option made a difference.

dzuroff,

Can you send me the following details:

1) your system version (Home screen>Device settings>About Phone under System

version).  I assume 1.13.604.

2) the Exchange version you are using

3) whether you see the issue while on wifi

4) You already indicated that you see the issue in Peak hours in Battery

manager.  Can you keep it in Performance mode and see if you still see the

issue?

Thanks,

Francois Holl

1. System Version: 1.13614.MB810.Verizon.en.US.

2. Exchange version: Exchange 2003 sp2

3. We see the issue on both wifi and 3G

4. My last test was while the phone was set to performance mode and I left it in performance mode after changing the setting. The particular phone I am testing belongs to another IT person so he needs to receive email 24/7. I changed to performance, power cycled the phone, then it worked for a short time before acting up again.

Not sure if anyone can help out or not but having a terrible time with my new Droid X.  Like most people I have had no luck setting the phone up through the exchange server.  I can get the account set up but just get a communication error.  I have also tried using touchdown but keep getting an error with that as well.  The error I am gettign with Touchdown is (The following policies have been requested: Allow Simple password).  Any ideas?

Nine more days until I return 3 Droid X's unless we get some kind of fix for both Exchange and the calender.

I hate to put people back to Blackberrys but at least I know they will work and we can get the basic information we need to do our jobs.

Geez, still havent heard from Matt and Moto.  He said two days ago they were just finishing up their statement.  Dotting the i's and crossing the t's.  It mus be a pretty long statement and have a ton of i's and t's.

FYI - I am on the Incredible now and still holding onto my X just in case there is a last minute fix.  It's amazing how my emails and calendar work great on this HTC device.  The engineers at HTC must be wicked smaht.

While it would be mean and wrong to do we could all start private messaging him.  I assume he would rather post one update rather then responding to all pm's.

Again that would be mean as Matt has been and is a great help to us all here.  It is not his fault Moto is dragging their feet.
