Your network admin or corporate helpdesk should be able to provide that information.  I know in my company you need permission before you can access the server anyway for ActiveSync.

For AOL accounts, you should be able to use the built in client.  This only applies to Exchange issues (you don't need Touchdown for that)

Touchdown as far as I know is only compatible with Exchange

Will the X work (when all is updated/fixed) with Exchange 2010?

That's the plan.

Just to recap the headlines since the thread continues to grow. For Exchange connection issues:

  • Connection issue addressed in Froyo.
  • Exchang setting and Touchdown licenses available to tide you over until then. See here for more.

There is a delay in receiving mail, if I manually refresh, the mail comes

in. So it is not related to the notification issue. Side by side my iPod

touch which also connects via Active Sync, the email is delayed on the Droid

X. Sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes. I always instantly receive push

mail on the iPod, but not on the DX. Other users at our office have the HTC

Incredible and have no issues with push mail.

Also I've verified background refresh is on. We are using Exchange Server

2003 SP2. My Droid X software version is 1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US

Same here. I receive mail on my ipad almost instantly. Delay only on the droid x.

Sent via DROID on Verizon Wireless

@clstaton

When you say minutes, can you quantify?

For those who are wondering, I just received my free Touchdown license about 30 minutes ago.  I sent the e-mail requesting it around 5:00 PM yesterday.  So, Motorola is living up to its promise.  Thanks for hanging in here Matt.  Looking forward to a permanent fix with Froyo.
