DROID X: Why isn't the screen OLED?

Why isn't there an OLED screen? TFT is quite old for this new device, and looking at the other brands, all move to OLED, which gives a superior view.

It will be interesting to see what the Droid 2 will have.

Re: DROID X: Why isn't the screen OLED?

If I remember correctly the HTC android phones both have AMOLED screens and they are having a shortage crisis right now because the manufacturers can't keep up with the demand and won't be able to until 2012!!!

I will stick with the screen Motorola has chosen.  Haven't had any problems with them so far!

I don't think there is an AMOLED screen that large. I remember Brandon (pocketnow.com) remarking on that when they were revewing the EVO.
