Re: DROID X on 2.2: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

I am now upgraded to 2.2 and my contact pictures are still not syncing like they did on my Droid... What gives?

Re: DROID X on 2.2: Issues with Exchange corporate sync discussed here

I have two pending 2.2 issues.

1) Where is the email Icon. If I use the messages Icon (Red Mailbox) I can get to the email program (Two Blue Sync Arrows) but I don't see anyway to just get the email icon on my desktop.

2) The find buttom is not working inside of the Dialer. It works for maps, internet & contacts just not when the dialer is active.

Any ideas?

Motorola should just realize this phone is a dud. I do not care how big the screen is. The phone has so many issues that will never get fixed. My three friends are all returning there phones this week. Im glad I did and move to the Incredible. No issues with exchange. Love it. Do the same and you will not have to worry anymore. You spent 200 on this phone and it should work they way its suppose too.

When sending an email from the phone, and the outlook client is open on the pc, the email gets stuck in the drafts folder on the client, but when the client is closed, the email goes through. Had the problem on 2.1, was figuring that the problem would be fixed on 2.2.

Same issue. Touchdown still gets the email instantly like normal but the native app is just as inconsistent as it was in 2.1.

I'll keep an eye on it throughout the day and see if I can get a better handle on the delay and get some concrete numbers.

After the update the phone is requiring a PIN, this wasn't the case with 2.1 and is not a policy set by us in Exchange 2007. In the screen unlock security settings the options to disable the PIN are greyed out and state Disabled by remote phone administrator. How can I disable the PIN requirement since it is not a requirement?

Is there anyone with Exchange 2003 that is successful with getting corporate sync setup?  If so, please post your findings.  I'm at a loss.

I can tell you that I've been unsuccessful connecting to Exchange 2003 with secure connection using the native app.  No problem using Touchdown though.  It would have been nice if 2.2 fixed this.

Everyone who sees "Account error" in the notification bar, what additional info do you see when you pull down the notification "curtain" next to the alert?
