8.2 xyboard heat alert overheating

I downloaded an app that shows the battery temp and it jumps from 88 to 150 degrees.  We are getting a battery heart alert on the tablet just recently.  We did a software reset to no avail.   Do you suppose we need to change the battery out?   It looks fairly simple to do with the proper tools.

Hello pete3000,

What specific alert are you receiving and when does it occur? Does the tablet get extremely hot to the tough? If the software you downloaded literally "jumps" form 88 to 150, it may not be accurate. A gradual and steady rise in temps would be more typical, even in an overheating situation. Which app are you using (I can test it on a couple of my own tablets)?
