Email setting for att.net Yahoo mail (Android 2.2 w/current update)

2010-08-20, 12:35 PM

I inadvertently deleted my att.net email settings and cannot re-establish contact with att.yahoo.com.  I've got the proper outgoing email settings but when setup precedes to the outgoing settings something is not right.  I'm using smpt.att.yahoo.com as the SMPT server, Port 25, SSL security, and have checked the "Require Sign-in" box.  I'm using my full email address as my User Name and the correct password, but I'm getting the "Set Up Could Not Finish" pop-up.  Where am I going wrong?

I wonder -- have you tried downloading and using Yahoo Mail for Android in the Market?

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

I assume you mistyped the SMTP server you are using, but just in case make sure the SMTP server is smtp.att.yahoo.com and not smpt.att.yahoo.com.

I refuse to answer on the grounds that it will reveal me to be a total moron…. You spotted the problem, of course. I'm good to go, now.
