First message here, not lenovo user at the moment but I will receive a lenovo R61 with mini dock station.
My question his more general. I heard many time to removed the battery of my laptop when I'm working in sector to not overheat and kill the batterie life.
Do the docking station, stop charging the batterie when it's full.

Tom, welcome to the forum,
The battery will stop charging when it is full regardless of whether it is in a docking station or attached to an AC Adapter.
You can also change the charge thresholds to suit your usage using the Energy Manager software tool which is included.

I have T61 Notebook with 9 Cell Battery. Can I integrate and use my notebook with 9 cell bateeries with IBM ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator or i need to change the battery to normal 6 cell.
