Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

i have tested my OneLink Pro dock with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad Yoga.

The dual monitor on the One Link Pro dock will work as long as both LCD has a resolution of 1920x1080 or less. If one of the two LCD connected through the One Link Pro dock has something like QHD (i.e. 2560x1440) then only one of the external LCD will be supported.

So are both of your LCD of 1920x1080 or less?

This is my ThinkPad X1 Carbon with 2 LCD connected through the OneLink Pro dock (with the internal LCD on).

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

Both of my monitors are Dell U2412M Monitors that are 1920x1080, yes, and I am only getting output to one of them.

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

It doesn't show a second display.  I have the one DVI to HDMI working for one of the dell monitors (#2 in the graphic) and the laptop of course (#1).  But it doesn't "see" the 2nd dell monitor that's connected DVI to HDMI to the laptop...

I've set the resolution to 1920x1080 and nothing.

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

Can't you just connect one LCD using displayport and the other using the dvi cable? I have the dell 2412m and it has dvi, dp, hdmi and VGA input.

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

There is no HDMI.  There is a displayport, DVI and VGA

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

i just had a look at my 2412m, yes its missing the HDMI, i am confusing my U2410 with the U2412m.

Anyway, so why are you using HDMI? Can't you use the Displayport and DVI?

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

I am using two cords I bought because I am assuming they'd work. HDMI is on the dock. It's on the side of the laptop. I have one HDMI (DVI from the monitor) in the dock the plugged in and one HDMI (dvi from the monitor) thats plugged in the side of the laptop. Only the one attached to the dock is recognized. I had read in this thread that you could do this...so I bought the two cables...and have 1 monitor working and one not working.

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

I think I know why. You are running the OneLink dock and not the pro dock. Have you tried the miniDP on the laptop?

Re: Lenovo OneLink Dock with Multiple Monitors

No. I am running the onelink, which was what Lenovo sales told my IT director to buy specifically to do this. So if it's wrong that'd be frustrating.
