Regarding jitter, tearing, blanking:

I an driving the Lenovo 4k on one DP, a Dell 1920x1080 on the other.  I just swapped the two ports at the back of the HD 7870 card.  Working perectly since.

I am also having the same issue.  Just wish there was a feature to turn the lag off if it were there.  I have the same Pro 2840m monitor paired with an Acer of the same size. The Acer has no lag.

Using a Lenovo Thinkpad running windows 7 so you would think everything would sync up just fine, but alas.

What microcode version is your monitor running on? 3.06 is the latest I am aware of which actually has resolved a lot of issues which were present on the production revision of 3.01

What do you mean by microcode? Monitor driver version? I can only find one driver from lenovo support site and it was released 3/27/2014. I've installed it

My monitor's settings say "Microcode LN3.01". Not sure where you got those 1.06 and 1.03 type of numbers?

Sorry, I meant LN3.01 & LN3.06. I corrected the revision numbers in my post. For further details about the new microcode changes please view this post.

Okay, uhh, cool I guess if the newer monitors have updated firmware. Doesn't feel any better for me though since it seems they haven't published said firmware so you could update to it yourself? Do you think I should just send my monitor somewhere?

Looking at the other thread it looks like it has been almost 3 months from when you discussed it over there, and it still hasn't surfaced for downloading yourself.

So I'll be waiting with a laggy monitor which probably causes wrist injuries in the long run due to overcompensating to the lag. For how long? An another 3 months? A year? To the end of time? This sucks.

(sorry, Dutchice I'm not angry at you but at lenovo if that isn't obvious)

The Pro2840m firmware will not be released to public as far as I have been told. You basically have two options, call Lenovo support and submit a ticket requesting the latest microcode. They will have to use their internal messaging system to request it from higher support levels which might take sometime. Other option is to simply call Lenovo and RMA it directly with them. They will send you a new monitor with the latest firmware. Just make sure the support represetative understands that the reason for RMA is a production release firmware.

Done.

For future reference for thread-starters, you should be able to see the choice to unmark the solution in the Options pull-down menu on the right side of the marked message.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
