Lenovo t2424z monitor

2017-11-19, 16:19 PM

My lenovo t2424z monitor is connected to a Y70-70 touch laptop. The monitor works fine. The other day I connected a lenovo external dvd drive to the USB monitor for the first time the other day. There is no power to the monitor USBs. The drive works fine when attached to the laptop usb. Lenovo sent us a new monitor and we have the same issue. Some setting need to be corrected with the monitor.

Do devices with lower power demands (flash drive, perhaps) function when plugged intot the monitor's USB sockets?

Is the monitor's USB 3.0 port plugged into the laptop?

I used a new cable from the laptop to the monitor and it worked. There is a problem with the original cable that required a new noe. Thanks.
