Questions about the new X1 Presenter Mouse

2020-02-12, 3:59 AM

Hi Everyone,

Recently purchased the X1 presenter mouse https://support.lenovo.com/en/accessories/acc500115 and came across a weird phenomenon when using the device in presentation mode.:

The gyro seems to be stuck in reverse axis mode when I try to use the "laser pointer" or "mouse cursor". Meaning I move my hand down the cursor moves up the screen instead.

Notebook is Thinkpad Yoga 370 (20JH) running on Windows 10 Pro.

I have tried the following:

Reset, reinstall the X1 presenter mouse utility

Deleted and paired the device using bluetooth

Turned off and on the power on the mouse

Flipped the mouse back to mouse mode and back - sometimes work, but more oftern not

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, were you able to fix the mouse pointer going in opposite directions?  I just received my X1 presenter mouse and it's doing the same thing.  When I move up, the laser pointer moves down.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

+1 for this problem. I just got the mouse and what I've found is that it will work properly for about five seconds and then suddenly reverse axis. Very strange behavior.

I have a brank new X1 mouse and have the very same behavior on all Thinkpads and other PCs that I tried, reverse mode in any case.

Lenovo Support does not want to deal with mouse problems. Says it is "likely compatibility issues" and exits the support chat....

Same problem here.... has anyone found a solution for this annoying issue*?

* actually it is a randomic problem in my case: sometimes works for few seconds, sometimes for many seconds and then suddenly switches to "opposite" mode... then I stop clicking and I restart and goes back to normal...

I had an intense discussion with the support.

This is a bug in the mouse. No solution was found except replacing mine.

The new one if working perfectly fine.

I would suggest doing the same and sparing yourself the trouble...
