ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock 40AF0135 Video playback is CHOPPY

Hi everyone, I'm using this 40AF Dock as my main and only video output connected to my Sony TV 2 4K 60HZ. But everytime I play a video 1080p it's choppy and sometimes screen would go black for a sec then go back. Any fix on this? Thanks in advance. My computer is a Minix Neo N42C-4.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I don't have that dock, but I'm checking the support site:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/pd500180

I would try some things in your case.

1) Update the firmware of the device that is available on the support site.

2) Update the drivers that are available on the support site.

If this does not help, my third option will be to install the DisplayLink drivers directly from the manufacturer.

https://www.displaylink.com/downloads

It looks to me that this dock uses the DisplayLink chipset for video, according to what I was able to read.
