Re: Bitlocker issue with T470 Tpm 2.0 Windows 10

We are deploying Windows 10 1703 and our problem is that we are not able to deploy UEFI we only can deploy to Legacy. It has been ok for all the old computers T540 and T520, but for T570 we can not deploy and activate Bitlocker...

EDIT: Never mind, I just reread your post, my answer did not apply!

I opened a thread with I think the same problem you have, karlshoj:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Enterprise-Client-Management/T470-Bitlocker-Problem-Windows-7/m-p/3780254

If you have a limited rollout, we found that allowing the drive to encrypt, encountering the problem where it always asks for the security key, then decrypting the dirve, and finally enabling bitlocker again, worked. Obviously, that solution does not solution to a many-laptop deployment, but it does work until they get the BIOS updated...

You need to figure out how to deploy in UEFI mode.  Deploying Win10 in legacy mode is never going to work for systems with TPM 2.0.  Why are you not able to deploy UEFI?

Because it seems impossible to we are having trouble getting a successful PXE boot in UEFI only mode, I can only PXE boot in Legacy only or Both (Legacy First)

What are you trying to PXE boot to, and what kind of errors are you seeing?

We know PXE boot in UEFI mode works if the server/network is configured properly.  Literally hundreds of customers are doing this (including Lenovo manufacturing).  But if you give us details about your environment, we may have some pointers.

Thanks for the quick reply. MS SCCM 2016 PE.

It pulls and IP, then says the NBP file was downloaded, then it just moves on to trying to PXE over IPv6. No errors listed on the screen when trying IPv4, it just doesn't boot and moves on to IPv6...

I think I found the problem. I checked with the guy that made the Windows 10 image, it was done in MBR, not UEFI/GPT.

And no, I don't think we've ever been able to get a UEFI boot to work. This is the first time we've tried it.

I am having the same issue on T470 with TPM 2.0, Windows 10 (v 1607). We cannot use UEFI because it turns the disk into GPT. We cannot use GPT because we have to run Sophos Safeguard which requires MBR to install. And we use Sophos Safeguard to manage the bitlocker in the enterprise.
