Capture image of Thinkpad via MDT 2012 Update1

2013-05-24, 8:59 AM

HI, I am trying to capture an image of a Thinkpad Windows 8 Pro to our MDT 2012 update 1 server  without success.

Has Anyone managed to do this yet?

I have been trying to get this to work for a few days now and I have been able to install Windows 8 Pro onto a desktop pc and capture the image from that so I now know this narrows it down to being an issue with the actual Thinkpad.

I am booting into Windows and running the LiteTouch script and it starts going through the process until it gets to "Running action: Applying Windows PE" and then it just sits there. I had it sitting there for a day and a half (as I went out of the office) on the same block on the progress bar.

My next step to try and capture the Thinkpad is via a usb/drive and then copy the image to the MDT server which should hopefully work but it would be nice to just be able to do it via the MDT server.

If anyone has any further ideas or settings that I need to change I would appreciate it.

If you need anymore info from me then just ask.

Thanks for reading.

What ThinkPad is it?  Have you injected any drivers into your WinPE boot image?
