Lenovo Catalog XML Missing 1909 Driver Packs

2020-01-07, 16:04 PM

1909 driver packages for Thinkpad and ThinkCentre products are missing from the Lenovo Catalog XML.  https://download.lenovo.com/cdrt/td/catalog.xml

We use this catalog for various automation and it is utilized in the popular Driver automation tool from the SCConfigMgr guys.

Any chance this can be updated soon?

Examples:

T580:  https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds502449

T570:  https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds120629

It looks like not all model have a 1909 driver package either.  Should we be expecting 1909 specific packages for X and T series models?

As the forum was in transition, we were not able to communicate this out quickly.

We have updated the catalog noted above with all 1909 driver packs availability.  I will try to keep an eye on them and update as new 1909 driver packs are released.

Hello

We are also seeing 1909 driver packs now, but not for all models (not even for newer ones like P1 2nd gen), can you open up on what has to happen for them to transition into 1909 driver packs from eg. 1903? For example, the driver pack was validated for 1903 just before 1909 and newer driver package is coming out end of January when the name/XML categorizes it to 1909?

I am not sure the cycle at which different driver packs release at different times.  I would imagine that they are the list to be done soon.  If I hear anything, I will try to let you know.

Hi,

We are also using MSEndPointMgr driver automation to create SCCM Driver packages.
We have a new test model and a number of machines on order.
Not sure if this is a manual process to add driverpack's to the catalog? Would be good if this was fully updated as new models / driver versions are released.
We are updating the base Windows 10 SCCM deployment to build 2004

e.g. Lenovo Thinkstation P620 Windows 10 x64.

Driverpack is missing from the catalog.xml used by Driver Automation Tool:
https://download.lenovo.com/cdrt/td/catalog.xml

Lenovo - Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Package Index

Link to Lenovo Thinkstation P620 Windows 10 x64 driverpack page:

Thanks,
Rhys
