The driver "Synaptics Prometheus MiS Touch Fingerprint Reader Driver" was not installed on the T490 (20N3) with ThinInstaller.
First i thought the driver is only for Windows 10 1809 and later?
But on my test device (1803) i could install the driver with the EXE file.

ThinInstaller doesn't install the driver:
Please could a lenovo employee check why this happens?

It looks like ThinInstaller will not apply this driver to anything except 1809 and later. If you look in the readme, for T490, this driver is only qualified for 1809 and later. If you have tested it on 1803 and convinced that it works, you can modify the package yourself. Here's how:
1. in your repository, find nz6gf04w_2_.xml
2. change this line to remove the part I marked in red: <_ExternalDetection rc="0,1,2,3,4">%PACKAGEPATH%\getw10ver6.exe</_ExternalDetection>
3. save the file, try running ThinInstaller again. This driver should be detected now.

I will check and see if website/readme can be updated, but I will also explain why this situation happens. We are expecting customers to run 1809 or later on these machines, since the factory preloads are all 1809 or 1903. We understand that some enterprise customers are stuck on older versions of Windows, so we provide SCCM driver packages for that purpose. If you look in SCCM driver package for 1803, you'll see it has same version of fingerprint driver:
Synaptics Finger Print Driver N2IFP11W 188.8.131.525
My point is, if you are an enterprise customer, we recommend using SCCM driver pack rather than pulling individual drivers from the website.

We are enterprise user and use the Thin Installer to deploy the drivers.
Because the driver store in SCCM is so slow and difficult to maintenance.
This device is our first T490 and we will use 1803 the next 3-4 month.
I hope we will be ready for 1909 then.
