Re: Third-Party Software Update Catalog in SCCM 1806 and Lenovo Catalogue

All,

Got Lenovo to finally put up a post on this with more information, including that they're evaluating catalog v3 for use with the upcoming third party catalog format that will support Categories

Re: Third-Party Software Update Catalog in SCCM 1806 and Lenovo Catalogue

We activated the Lenovo catalog in our SCCM (1902) yesterday.

But we noticed, some updates are missing, e.g. firmware updates (SSD).

Has Lenovo plans, to bring them in the catalog?

Also BIOS updates are not the newest, e.g. "Flash BIOS Updates for ThinkCentre M720t, M720s, M720q, M920t, M920s, M920q, M920x, ThinkStation P330 Tiny - 10 [64] - 1.28"

There was 9(!) updates released since this one!

It would be nice to get much newer driver versions!

But also we say good work and thank you!

@pilgi3,

We do not provide Firmware updates through the catalog.

I will have a look at the Mx20 series BIOS's and see if we can get an updated version in one of the coming catalogs.

Re: Third-Party Software Update Catalog in SCCM 1806 and Lenovo Catalogue

We have big problems with T495s and Lenovo USB-C Gen2 docks.

I have deployed the SCCM package from 19. sep 2019, found on the download page.

However the problem is fixed with the newest AMD Kit Driver from 31. oktober 2019.

But it seems this driver is not pushed to the catalog ? I only have old versions listed.

Can you push the driver quick ? Else I have to manually create a package and deploy.

We just bought 800 Lenovo pc's and are in a big rollout now, so pretty urgent.

Hi Henrik,

The catalog was updated to include this driver today. It might take a couple hours to show up in your console. Hope this helps!

Re: Third-Party Software Update Catalog in SCCM 1806 and Lenovo Catalogue

Will there be any ThinkCentre BIOS updates. I see ThinkPad BIOS updates not ThinkCentre.

I'm running Lenovo v2 catalog from within SCCM 1906.

Hi pcteklink,

What models are you looking for? We are working on getting the more recent Think centre BIOS updates into the catalog but it requires more testing compared to ThinkPad updates.

M73, M700, M710q and M720q. These are all tiny models. I'd be happy to test if you need some feedback?

Re: Third-Party Software Update Catalog in SCCM 1806 and Lenovo Catalogue

We are faced with the issue described here Lenovo Updates Installing Multiple Times After an OS Upgrade Task Sequence - Revised 2019-09-16

We do not use Lenovo Patch as we only use Third-Party Software Update Catalogs.
How can we create the package like described in the steps

"To obtain the latest version of the LUCAgent published to the environment, navigate to the Configuration Manager console, click on Software Library > Overview > Software Updates > Lenovo Patch. Set the SmartFilter to All. In the Search box, type in LUCAgent. Click to select the highest version that is published. In the information section at the bottom of the screen, scroll until Download URL is visible. Click the link and Save the file."

@surfer81,

The link to the latest LUC Agent is:

https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/lucagent1005.exe

Alternatively, you can go to the the content location on your WSUS server and pickup the .exe there.
