I am having the same problem. Please advise.
Just tested and it's currently working for me.
That server is wonky. All I can suggest is trying again....

Same issues as others. 2 days in a row.
I clicked "send error to lenovo", just for good measure....not sure that it did.
Now onto the managedtechnicalsupportaccess site to see if THEY can issue a USB with my recovery media!

I am getting the "Communication with the Lenovo Support Site has been interrupted" error too.
This is extremely frustrating
Why are Lenovo not doing anything to fix this???????

Hello beautiful people.
After hours of struggling with the errors....
I finally managed to make a USB key from an Ideapad 720s running the preinstalled windows 10x64 home edition.
Some steps I tried along the way: (not sure which one actually made the difference)
It seems the windows 7 version of the tool may be a little more robust.

go to the site
register\log in, open a 'case', enter your system model\SN (and other info), state that USB recovery\creation tool isn't working and that you would like the USB of xyz O/S.
I had systems with downgraded win7 installed - Lic for Win10Pro, this means I was entitled to a Win10 USB ...for which they had it avail.
