Suggestion:

Can we please, add the possibility to share the link to a specific message in a thread? That would be super useful when trying to point to a specific message. This way, you don't have to scroll through the entire page to find that message.

Hi guys,

Please, add back the option to Edit posts on the mobile version!

Also, please, add an option for both mobile and desktop versions to manage/delete attachments! This is a must! You can only add attachments. And apparently if you added an attachment from mobile, since you can't edit posts on the mobile version, you can't delete it from there. And, while you can edit the post from the desktop version, you can't manage your attachments from there either!! Unless they've been added via the desktop site.

Also, I know this is a lot to ask, but would it be possible to provide a link to the old version of the forum? I appreciate the effort you guys put into the new one, BUT there are some fundamental bugs with this version that, at least to me, makes it very difficult to use. And while I wasn't a big fan of the previous version, it was better in certain aspects!

Re:New Forum Community Feedback/Issues

There are some things seriously wrong with this new forum design:

1) Firstly, I cannot see how to subscribe to a topic?

2) Even if subscribing to topics is no longer 'permitted', you'd think that once you've posted to a topic (as I am doing here right now) I would automatically be subscribed to it?

But I'm not. And so I'm NOT getting any email notifications for topics that I've subscribed to - even the ones I was subscribed to before this new forum design came into being. So the only way I will know whether a new post has arrived into a previously subscribed topic, or a new topic I've posted to, is if I bookmark and manually check each of my (MANY!) subscriptions each and every day - something I have absolutely no intention of doing.

Result? Everybody will lose interest in this Community, and by and by, you will have fewer and fewer contributors, and finally it will die a death of attrition.

I am starting to wonder if anyone from Moto (or Lenovo) is even reading these issues we are posting?  Nothing has been mentioned, not even a "we are working on it...." response; and nothing has changed for weeks now.

You can get a working permalink to any post by seletcting the appropriate menu item from the dropdown menu in the right corner of the respective post.

This should be a permalink to your post (the one I'm currently replying to).

Since the word censoring feature apparently works worse than I initially imagined and it also affects message in the forum, not just PM, I would like to ask you guys again to either remove it entirely (to be honest, I don't see its purpose, at all, not to mention it does more harm than good) or update it to only censor a specific word and leave the other ones intact. This way you can also see which word it censored.

Right now, from a perfectly safe message, it submitted this:

"bleep".

No, that's not a replacement for a dirty word, that's what it replaced my entire message with!!! And you can't even go back to fix it. Since the whole message is gone!!

I just got kudos for a post before, and in the notification e-mail the post link got really messed up:

Now this I think is not a desired behavior.

Yeah, I kudoed your previous post. :)

But the link should have probably been:

https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/view/1642/4628378

instead of:

https://forums.lenovo.comhttps//forums.lenovo.com/topic/view/1642/4628378

That is a bug, indeed.

Hi guys,

Are you using some sort of scripts when displaying messages on the forum (in viewing mode, not editor, although you're using plenty in there as well)? If so, could you, please,...maybe not do that anymore? :))

Because look what happens when you just select a piece of text in any message.

This is the original text (before you select anything)

This is after trying to select the second row, from right to left.

Here's another one (from this thread, not that it makes any difference whatsoever).

Here's the original text (before you select anything)

And here's the mess it becomes when you select things.

Also, I've noticed sometimes text tries to rearrange under your mouse. Which is extremely annoying! Think about it. You're trying to read something and the text keep moving!

I don't know what kind of half-baked platform are you currently using but it sucks. BIG TIME!

As i said before, I wasn't a big fan of the previous version and I have to admit there are a few minor improvements with this one. But the amount of issues is insane! And they're usability issues. Not just one pixel to the left or right.

So, I'd like to ask you guys, whatever you're currently using when displaying a post, please, either fix it, or remove it. Cause this is really annoying to use.

Safari on Mac.

I suppose that blue rectangle is supposed to be a button? But there is no text in it...and it can't be clicked.

And apparently the issue above with the text only occurs on Safari, as well.

Come on guys, this is the only site I know with so many issues on Safari. You can't develop for a single browser. Safari is one of the most popular browsers in the world, especially since it's also on the iPhones.

Please, try to test this site in Safari, as well.
