Led in Tower can't be controlled

2019-04-01, 6:45 AM

Just bought and installed the Legion T53028ICB this weekend. Cannot change or turn of the front led light of the tower. All updates installed, no new updates available and still not possible to control the front light of the tower.

Re: Led in Tower can't be controlled

Greetings and welcome new Lenovo forum user from Hong Kong,

Now I understand this to sound a bit extreme but if software can not turn off the front LED board behind the front cover (and from what it sounds like there is not) than another option would need to be sought such as tracing the cable back from the LED board and simply unplugging the cable from the motherboard header that sends to power it.

If you look at Legion T530/T730 Hardware Maintenance Manual page 19 illustrates hardware locations and the LED board (28) that is behind the front cover for an idea of what to expect also information on what to do to gain access to it.
