Re: Legion T530-28ICB Ram Upgrade Question

2020-01-05, 18:14 PM

Hi, I have a question. I have a legion T530 tower and the ram which is suppose to be at 2666mhz is running at half that speed. But I've read the chat and it seems there is no XMP. The ram I'm talking about btw is stock ram that came with the computer. I checked this using CPU-z. What do I do?

If you read the previous posts on this question you’ll find I had a very similar issue. you cant enable xmp in the bios on the Lenovo motherboard. I did have some luck with intel extreme tuning utility assuming you have a k skew cpu

Legion T530-28ICB Ram Upgrade

2020-10-20, 21:27 PM

I upgraded from my Ramaxel DDR4 memory to corsair vengeance 3200mhz DDR4 memory, but the corsair vengeance's ram is running at 2133mhz instead of 3200mhz. Is there anyway that i can make it run at 3200 mhz.

@SoniRoni  please read the previous posts in this thread before asking the same question that has already been answered. In short, the BIOS doesn’t allow use of xmp so you can’t increase the speed at which the memory runs although you may have some luck with intel xtu

Re:Legion T530-28ICB Ram Upgrade Question

2020-12-08, 5:56 AM

I have read through the post and still is not 100% sure which route I should take to get to 64GB Ram on my T530.

The article referred to for confirmation says most boards can up to 64GB with four channels. My T530 Legion has a mb with stamped "LY530". This mb only has two slots for RAM.

Can anyone confirm that I can in fact use 2 x 32GB Ram modules on this motherboard? The specs where I bought the computer says maximum 2 x 16 GB.

Thanks.
