Fun Fact: if you can't see the label then your intake fans are backward.

While yes, I also managed to fix the problem by switching the ARGB cable to another header, I still noticed that my case was getting extremely warm.

I then realized that the front intake fans were installed backward causing there to be no air intake into the case I was able to take off both side panels and remove the front panel to get to the screws and flipped the fans around with some pain of having to thread the other side of the fans, the system runs almost 20-30 degrees cooler and the CPU and GPU both run at higher clock speeds and more efficiently. I'm not sure if someone at the factory just didn't know what they were doing and installed the fans the wrong way around or if they were told to "make it look pretty" so the installed the fans with the label towards the front of the case, my favorite part about this is that the fans actually have an arrow on the sides that shows which way the air flows so this mistake doesn't happen.

Fun Fact: if you can't see the label then your intake fans are backward.

The fans should look like the ones in the image below.

Thanks for posting this, Jeremiah H! Mine were also installed backward. I just finished flipping them. I can feel a lot more air flowing out the back now that front fans are blowing the correct direction.

It might save you a step when trying to take off the front panel, you will need to take both side panels off to access the clips holding in the front panel, I got my system yesterday and after swapping the ARGB connector to a different header adding RAM and flipping the intake fans the right way around, I have had no issues with the system and it absolutely destroyed the custom PC that I built for a buddy of mine, both systems have almost identical specs, only difference is that his has a ryzen5 cpu and the one I'm running has the 10th gen i7.

Lenovo sent out a technician to fix mine today, and he did exactly what @Bert88 described. I've attached a pic with the fan cable connected to ARGB3. The cable had originally been plugged into the socket just to the left of it (ARGB4).

Do note an oddity in the Launcher RGB Lighting customizer.

If either the front or back fan is set to Wave or CPU Temperature, it will change both of them so that they are in sync.

I keep getting told Lenovo knows about the issue and it's a software issue with Vantage. They say the engineers are working on a fix. Not sure if I should wait for some software fix or go ahead and do the fix myself?

I'd just do it yourself.  It's quick and easy.  Who knows if/when they'll get around to a software fix.

Re:Legion Tower 5i - CPU RGB Fan lighting not working

I spoke with Lenovo tech. Seems im getting different answers than everyone else. In regards to the front fans. The top fan is blowing inside the case on my PC while the bottom fan blows out the front. I was told this is the correct way since the bottom fan serves as an exhaust for dust, etc. since there is a grate on the bottom front of the PC as well. Makes sense to me? what do you all think?
