Re:Legion Tower 5i - CPU RGB Fan lighting not working

It is actually very easy to fix the fan light issue.  If you can plug a string of Christmas tree lights into an outlet, you can fix this.  Take the back of the case off.  If I recall correctly, there are a couple thumb screws to remove and it comes right off.  Then, just look at the photos earlier in this thread and unplug the fan light cord and plug in the correct socket.  I don't think there is any chance of a novice damaging the computer by fixing this.

Open the vantage software.  The "L" on the task bar.  Look for the lightning section.  If it's not there you will need to update the vantage software.  From the lighting configuration page you will go to custom and turn on the lights you desire.

I don't have the second cable. The far right one. What is that for? Where does the other end go to?

I may have just a regular CPU fan. It is small and grey. I'm not very up on this, but it may explain why I only have one cable connected to the ARGB mini board. This is a Costco Legion Tower 5

Re:Legion Tower 5i - CPU RGB Fan lighting not working

I had this issue and it's been resolved.

I feel kinda silly as my issue was a very easy fix and I instantly reached out to tech support (after reading this thread I thought the worst).

I initially uninstalled the Lenovo Vantage program and reinstalled and didn't have an option for computer colors. this did not fix the issue.

I then reached out to Lenovo tech support and let them take control of my desktop and seen my issue. they uninstalled the program and restarted the computer. Once booted up had reinstalled the Lenovo Vantage program and the option for lighting was there.

I hope the other issues are this easy.

My Vantage program already had the option for lighting.  It's just that no setting for CPU fan light actually works.  As soon as I can get my son to let me, I'm going to take off the right side of the case and look for the cables in the pics.  It's odd though, my CPU fan is the same size as the back case fan.  It's huge, and it's parallel to the case fan, they are sort of side to side.  I'll have to grab a pic and see if anyone else's looks like mine.  Maybe I have a redesigned model?

Open the right panel and follow the solution posted. If the problem is similar to mine(no gray cable at all on argb3 or 4 located on the right panel of the case) then I don't know what to recommend you. I'll go to costco first thing in the morning to get a replacement and I'll update if the stock they have actually have the same problem.

Hey Risrisris:

When you get that exchanged at Costco, let us know if the CPU fan is a standard fan or a RGB fan.

Mine (from costco) is not an rgb fan.  That explains why I only have one cable attached at the ARGB mini board.

Also, check the direction of the front two fans.  My Costco PC had the lower fan blowing out and the upper fan bringing air in.

Debate around this has been discussed, but I turned my lower fan around to bring air in to match the upper.

Good Luck.
