New Legion C730 PC randomly freezing doing regular activity??

2020-09-13, 13:52 PM

Hi I recently purchased a Legion C730 and it is constantly freezing for a few seconds when I'm doing normal activity -- listening to music, using Microsoft Word. Does anyone know the cause of this? I did Lenovo's diagnostics on the site and everything is showing up fine. This is frustrating having an expensive new PC that is doing this.

Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to the Lenovo forum community!

This sounds like a software issue, check whats running in the background, update all drivers, disable windows fast startup.

Thanks. I updated all my drivers. Just gotta wait and see if it happens again.

BTW, what does turning fast startup off do?

Thanks!

Windows Fast startup:

Its a mix of things, one of them is, a clean state like system is stored in the hybernation file, so that it can start up faster, the downside of this, some hardware units vs drivers, do not initiate correctly, and can interfere with systems operations.
