T540 Gaming Tower Motherboard Removal

2021-02-20, 20:38 PM

I'm trying to install a new heat sink for my T540 gaming tower, but in order to that, I need to remove the motherboard from the case and attach an adapter plate through the backside.

I've unscrewed the 9 screws from the motherboard as shown in the maintenance manual, but I can't seem to slide and lift it out because the black plastic Wifi/M2 SSD holder.

Any ideas on how do I remove this piece?
