Upgrade

I have an i5 8400 and gtx 1050 ti. Upgrade processor to i7 8700 or gtx 1050 ti to 3070 in october?

Hello,

 

it really depends on what your PSU can handle. If you own say a Lenovo Legion c530, those come with a 350-450W PSU most of the time. This kind of PSU would not be enough to handle the RTX 3070, which requires 220W. 

 

If you want to keep your PSU and upgrade your performance, I'd go for a GTX 1660ti (would be enogh for most games if you play on Full HD) or a 2000 series GPU.

 

If you do want to switch to the 3070 a PSU upgrade will most likely be necessary. 

 

As for the CPU, be sure to check how your CPU and GPU config works together. You dont want a very high-end CPU with a low end GPU or vice-versa:
