T530-28ICB: What is best graphics card I can install?

hello.

i have a Legion T530-28ICB but i am a little confused about what is the max that i can upgrade because on the lenovo with the serial number and thing you can upgrade the max is a rtx 2060 but what i can see is that the psu can not follow that long a 2060 demands at least 500 watt but mine is only 280 watt somone help...

Hello @Gifleren,

 

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Based on the parts page the machine has been tested to have compatibility with the RTX 2060 card.

However you will need to upgrade the PSU to something higher than the current one an example of a PSSU you will need is 00PC789 which is a 500W power supply.

Thanks for writing back.

 

The RTX 3060 demands 200W on its own so you may need a 600W psu for this or possibly more.

Jack is giving the 3060 Ti wattage above (200w), the regular 3060 is 170w, just 10w more than the 2060.  The versions of the this T530 model with the 2070 from the factory, did so with the 500w supply, so it can handle any card up to 175w, including the 3060.  You may need to installed front fans to dissipate the additional heat, as they may not have been included in your original 280w config.

okay thanks but is it then worth to upgrade and shift the psu and all that stuff og just buy a better and newer pc?
