Y520 fans running slow when gaming

Hi i have an y520 laptop and when i play a game after 30 minutes i get these lag spikes (even in minecraft) and i've realized its because my cpu is getting to hot. So i tried to download lenovo nerve center for extreme cooling which i have used before but the app just doesnt work, it wont open and when i got the app from windows store it didnt have any features. This started happening when i restarted my laptop lenovo nerve center wouldnt work

Re: Y520 fans running slow when gaming

Hi Natisliy! Welcome to our forums community. You can download the Lenovo Nerve Center(Sense) from our website: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/. Provide the exact model or serial number then go to the Drivers and Software tab, look for Software and Utilities. Should you need to make sure everything is up to date, you can run the update from the Lenovo Vantage app. Install all available updates.

Re: Y520 fans running slow when gaming

Hi Natisly!

The Nerve Center you have is from Microsoft store and we are not sure if it's up to date or the right Nerve Center for your system. To isolate the issue, you can get the Nerve Center directly from our support website . You can go to support.lenovo.com search for your device using the serial number and go to drivers&software then click Software and utilities then download Lenovo Nerve Center.

Let us know.
