Y710 ideacenter cube not working as it should.

So. After using a old high spec pc for 4 years I decided to get a new one. I ended up with this one becuase it was cheap and had some pretty good specs.

 

After a day or two problems started to arise. At first my windows os started to freeze a bit. I didn't think of it as serious since I've had many problems on my computers before and thought I could fix it. I couldn't.

 

Also, It doesn't seem to live up to it's specs as it should.

 

First, Here's my my specs;

 

Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1060 6gb.

 

Intel Core i5-6400 

 

8gb of Samsung ram (One Stick)

 

1TB HDD

 

Windows 10 64-bit

 

Problems: 

The os freezes / bugs out

My programs randomly stop responding and/or crashes

My screen goes completly black and I can't do anything

 

Anyone got some tips?

Hi IvyTheUnlucky,

 

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

 

Have you checked to see if all drivers are up to date on the Lenovo Support page? There's been a few new drivers released not too long ago including the Intel Chipset driver; that may help resolve the issue. When you refer to your screen going black, does that just randomly occur?
