as-built showing wrong hardware?

2021-06-09, 20:05 PM

Anyone else notice their system "as-built" on Lenovo's website shows duplicate hardware?

When I go to My Profile, then "My Products" and click the serial number for my Legion 7i, then click on parts.   As-built shows a bunch of duplicate parts in my system.

ie: It shows my system contains 2x CPU, 2x motherboards, 2x hdd, 2x ssd, 2x Geforce RTX 2080 Super.  3x 16gb memory.   This is all wrong.

Am I alone in seeing this?
I've contacted customer service who advised I contact Technical support, and Technical support refused to acknowledge the problem claiming the site was working as intended.  Is there just no fixing this so that it list the parts that are actually in my Legion 7i?

Hello @KlousGT,

Sorry for the late reply.

I checked the support site and it lists the correct specs below.

Have you tried opening it using a different browser?

Regards,

Jack_Lenovo1

@Jack_Lenovo1 You're clearly not looking at As-built then. I sent you a link the exact page in question along with my serial number.  I'm referring specifically to as-built which I can get to by going to My Profile, then "My Products" and click the serial number for my Legion 7i, then click on parts.   As-built shows a bunch of duplicate parts in my system.

I've viewed the as-built in Chrome, Firefox and Edge all show the same incorrect/duplicate information, here are screenshots that show the issue.

I just went and looked at my "as-built" and I see the same thing as you do.  It looks like well over 50% of parts are duplicates, such as 2 power supplies, 2 wireless cards, 2 GPUs, 2 Intel processors etc.  I wish I really had all of those extra parts!

Hello @KlousGT,

Sorry for the late reply.

I've checked this on my end and can confirm I get the same interaction.

What I've done since is raise this internally so we can get more clarification.

I'll update the thread when new information comes.

Regards,

Jack_Lenovo1

Hello @all,

Just an update.

This does seem to be a bug in the system.

We've already reached out internally and will update the topic once we have more information or when a fix does come.

Regards,

Jack_Lenovo1
