can i put a 3060 in my computer?

hello i have a lenovo T530-28ICB with serieal number xxxxx

my question is that can i put a nvidia 3060 in my pc

Hi Gifleren,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

The System Power Supply in that model is 280W , and that's a bit on the low side for the RTX 3060, which requires a minimum of 550W of System Power. 

 

I'd also measure the inside of the case to see if it will physically fit just to be on the safe side, as the new 300 series are quite big. 

 

He's the RTX 3060 measurements:

 

Card Dimensions: Length 9.5" (242 mm)  
  Width 4.4" (112 mm)  
  Slot 2-Slot

 

The T530-28ICB does have

  • One PCIe 3.0 x16, full-length (< 312mm) full-height (< 111mm)

 

The 3.0 x16 PCIe should be able to run the RTX 3060 just fine, and it does look like the Length is within limits, but the height is on the tight side.
