ideacentre desktop y700 where to find the socket for a blurray burner..

Can some kind soul please tell me...I want to insert a bluray burner, i have a Seriel ATA lead..but I dont know where to insert it onto the motherboard? Is one there?

 

Im a newbie, so appreciate any advice..ideally in laymans terms.

so no-one has any idea of where I can plug this into ? Does anyone from Lenovo themselves read this??

Please keep in mind that this forum is a peer to peer venue.  In other words, Lenovo owners helping Lenovo owners.  Although Lenovo Support visits the forum there is no guarantee they will join in on every discussion.  If you need faster support then I would suggest you contact Lenovo Support by phone. 

 

As for your issue, according to your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual there are 4 SATA connectors on the motherboard.  Page #24 of that manual shows their location.  Here is a link to that manual for your reference.....
