Hi, i recently purschased the new Legion y530 but it only came with a 1tb hdd.
So i considered adding a ssd for a performance boost, i picked the Samsung 970 Evo 250gb as it is compatible.
Anyways after installing the drive in the socket it doesnt show up in the bios nor in windows desktop/install.
The bios is set to uefi i tried reloading factory settings,
disabling/enabling secure boot and also clearing the keys.
I put the laptop in setup mode(under secure boot)
I also removed the hard drive and only run it with the ssd. But still no luck.
I then installed the windows on thr hdd and tried device manager and aida64 to see if it will show up. But in aida it says the x4 PCIe(m.2) is empty.
Could it be a hardware fault either in thr laptop or the ssd?
Every help is appreciated.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
It seems that you've already tried all the possible troubleshooting steps in order to isolate the issue. Possible that the M.2 SSD or the M.2 socket on the laptop is malfunctioning. If you can use a different M.2 NVME SSD on your laptop it will also help you determine if the M.2 socket is causing the issue.
Let us know how it goes.
