A 4k modification of legion y720

Hello. Has anyone used a 4k modification of y720? I am very excited how does its screen look like. Is it bright and color accurate enough?

Re: A 4k modification of legion y720

Hi there

Welcome to the forums. I would advise to not consider such solutions because -

1) Even today several application are incompatible with 4k resolutions

2) 15" or 17" screens are too small to feel any 4k effect

3) It will cost you cheaper to buy a 4k or 2k monitor and connect to the laptop. (as such you can only play using power connection, so makes sense to be in one place)

If you are only concerned about screen quality, I don't have an idea (specific to laptop), but my experience says you won't see much panel difference.

I have a 4k screen on another laptop and I still use it at 1080p because of the resolution/apps compatibility.

That is not true at all. Windows can make any app display fine on 4k. The Yoga 720 has a 4k screen on it's 15" display and its like looking out a window. There is a huge difference.
