Your machine specs:

Storage
Some: HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high

Some: M.2 SSD / PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s (e.g. xxxGB SSD M.2 PCIe NVMe)

Some: 16GB Intel Optane memory, PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s, M.2

If your machine came with spinner HDD, you have open M.2 slot.

This is a M.2 2280 PCie 3.0 x 4 slot.

For 128GB, Lenovo used this item:

https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/ssd/client-ssd/MZVLW128HEGR/

Newer versions are the Samsung 970 EVO.

Various companies offer similar M.2 device, ie Crucial, Western Digital, Kingston, etc.

Silicon power nvme ssd works great.. Bought the 512gb variant.. This ssd is good value for money with terrific performance boost. It comes with 5 year warranty as well.. I cloned the windows to this drive and changed boot order in startup.. Hence using oem windows without any hassle

After some trial and error, I was able to install the Samsung 970 EVO M.2 as my main system drive.  Fast doesn't begin to describe the performance difference.
