Hi guys. Really need help here.
It began about a week ago. the sound starts crackling when I try to play something. I've tried litterally ANÝTHING that I could think of. Changing the power settings, updated the drivers, deleted some of the drivers, tried withdifferent sources. I've looked at this post:Lenovo Y510P - Crackling Sound and the solution given there didn't work. So what to do.

Download the latest drivers directly from Realtek. That solve my problem with a Y700, crackling when on battery

Realtek site is a bit of a mess so i used the following link but instead of running the setup executable i pointed the device manager update window to look for drivers within the downloaded folder

Sorry for being a noob, but can't find what you're talking about.

Download the driver from the link. 64 or 32 bit. Then unzip it.
Right click on start menu and click on Device manager
Choose sound video and game controllers
Choose your realtek audio card, on the new window choose update driver
Choose search for my drivers on my computer, hit next and then point the wizard to the location where the unzipped driver you downloaded is. Tick the "include subfolders" and hit next.
If all goes well this will update your audio drivers
