This is the (animated) boot logo on other Lenovo Gaming Laptops, notably the Y900 and the Y520:
On the other hand, this has been the hideously ugly logo on the Y700 since BIOS CDCN52WW:
It is trivial for Lenovo to change the logo, so how about using the Gaming one in the next update?
Or at least bring back the neutral one that was used up to CDCN37WW:
Thank you for considering this request.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
We can only hope they will change it, unfortunately that is not a great choice for the background of the logo...
If maybe it wasnt just cropped but instead blended into the black background it might look better.
But this current design is really not very appealing, I wonder why they decided to go with this one, compared to the gaming one I guess this is meant to be more of a business look, I`m just really not a fan of the borders around the logo.
Either way, we can only hope for the best, prepare for the worst .
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

Considering there will have to be a BIOS update soon due to the bug discovered in Intel Skylake CPUs, can we please have Lenovo do something about the logo as well while they're at it.

I can no longer edit the original post but would like to add that the ugly logo has since appeared in the -ACZ (AMD) version of the Y700 as well, apparently starting with BIOS CECN48WW. What I originally wrote in the first post, referred to the -ISK (Intel) version.

I will second that it needs a nice boot logo. It is a simple thing to do for a premium laptop. At least the plain black and white one looked sharp. The current one looks silly.

I also agree that the Legion PCs should have a cool BIOS and Boot logo !!!!
I will also tell Jeff from https://www.twitch.tv/lenovolegion about this

I agree with the people saying that the boot up logo of cdcn54ww bios version of the lenovo ideapad y700-15isk is not that appealing nor not that presentable. I have been using lenovo laptops since I was in high school (and now I am working as a software engineer), and never failed to disappoint me. But since I updated to the latest bios version of my y700-15isk, I found the logo very annoying since then, and also, it makes my ideal laptop not so ideal anymore. I may be exaggerating a little bit but it really bothers me in this matter.
I use lenovo for a reason. And that is its ability to be elegant and at the same time to be simple. It really pains me to know that I have a high end and high specifications of a laptop, and yet its boot up logo is not that great.
A logo represents everything. And a great company should have a good logo too.
Just a man's humble opinion.
