Dedicated Graphics Card Disabled

It seems as though, my Dedicated graphics card will not turn on even after i specifically changed the settings in "Switchable Graphics Application Settings"

What do I do to solve this problem?

Re: Dedicated Graphics Card Disabled

What does it say in Window Device Manager for that device; could the problem be simply a missing or corrupt driver?

  • Right Click on Start
  • Select Device Manager
  • Double Click on Display Adapters to open
  • Right Click on your AMD Radeon graphics adapter and select properties
  • Click on the Driver tab

From Properties, you can view the date/version, and either Update, Rollback or Uninstall the current driver.

Since you do not mention what computer or operating system you have, I cannot tell what the latest driver would be, but you might just select Uninstall from the Drivers tab, making sure to check the box "Delete driver software for this device", and once done uninstalling, reboot.   Windows should re-detect the AMD card and download a new driver.   Once that is complete, go to the Lenovo Support site and download the latest driver for both of your video card(s) and install.

Good Luck,

Re: Dedicated Graphics Card Disabled

What specific model of Y700 do you have....Is it q Y700-15ACZ ?

Try selecting the Roll Back Driver option in Device Manager, it is possible that the current driver is corrupted in some way.
