Honestly , if you are looking for booming bass then it is not there. the speakers are not that great, they are good enough.

You are not going to get an "oomph" from the bass.

As for increasing bass, I usually make a curve starting left side. Move the leftmost slider up by a few points (about 3/4th of entire line), keep moving the next 9 sliders up slightly in comparison to the first one.

From the 11th slider start coming down a bit and make sure the rightmost slider is below the leftmost one.

I dont have the laptop right now, so cannot post a picture.

There is also a software called Equalizer APO, so if you are into audio a lot, that gives you a more precise control over the audio. However, using that will disable Dolby (I think).

Sure buddy, I will try. For now I'm going around shopping for my baby.

Probably tomorrow. Thanks for the patience.

Sorry for the late reply, but here is what seems good to me. Do look at the bottom options too, since the dialogue enhancer seems to introduce some disturbance so turn it off.

Thanks.

Re: Dolby Atmos Lenovo Legion Y720

This is the first thing I noticed about the Y720. Sadly, there are a few things that work against the speakers in this system. One is the seemingly terrible Dolby "enhancement", the other is the actual physical location of the speakers. The "stereo" speakers are so close to eachother in right in the center front of the computer that it doesn't open up a decent stereo-field. I feel this also causes a bit of a "mono-ing" out effect. Also, it seems as if the gain is pushed to high within the software, so it seems to distort/clip easily.

As somone else mentioned, APO Equalizer can make a world of a difference and it will disable the Dolby software, so if that matters to you - you might want to avoid it... However, the improvement in sound quality is substantial. This is mainly because you can actually trim the gain and EQ to taste. I also found that turning the speakers and sub-woofer down in the "Levels" tab of Speaker Properties (in the Sound category of Control Panel) does help this also. I personally set these to: 80 for the sub-woofer, and 90 for the L/R speakers.

I just reinstalled the OS on mine (to upgrade from 256gb ssd to 512gb), so I have yet to put my profile back on. Once I have it all situated, I might post my profile for others to try out.

Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks these Dolby enhancements is terrible. Few days ago I created topic where I give my thoughts about Dolby and Lenovo.

More than 3 weeks, but I still can't feel comfotable listening music with these "enchancments". Do you think APO Equalizer could make sound to be 1:1 as on my old HP ENVY dv6-7300sa?

This is a good advice for anyone who likes their music - Get a decent pair of headphones.

The quality difference is night and day, summer and winter.

Nothing beats a HyperX cloud core or hyperx cloud 2, which are really good heaphones for less than a $100. I use them more than 8-10 hours daily, in office and at home.

As for APO equalizer, yes it helps a lot if you know your equalizer frequencies/gain/post-processing, but don't expect it to turn your sub-woofer great. The speaker quality is acceptable in my opinion, but like I said, if you like your music, games, movies then get a better pair of headphones.

AKG K92 is good enough for me, very comfortable for long range using. And I don't listen music on internal speakers. When I don't use my headphones, I have connected laptop with Edifier Studio R1280T.
