Also I've purchased an ssd and i want to clone all the softwares and drivers i have in the C partition to the new ssd and make it my boot drive, i found some cloning softwares but im not very sure,  any tips on doing it ?

The drivers folder in D contain the Lenovo drivers for your laptop. keep the folder in case of need.

for installing the SSD:

  1. Use the free backup app Macrium Reflect.
  2. Create a rescue app on a USB stick
  3. Create a full image copy your PC to an external HDD.
  4. Take out the current drive and install the SSD
  5. Boot from the rescue USB stick and restore your image from the external HDD into the SSD.
  6. Boot the y520 and see if everything works as it should for a couple of days.
  7. Install back the original drive if was a HDD and format.
