Graphic problems with Lenovo Y910 80V Ideapad

2020-04-21, 13:54 PM

Hi,

as in the attached image I have some graphic problems.

This problem occurs ONLY when I leave the PC, and the screen turns black.

Upon my return to the workstation, the open application shows this color / pixels problem.

I tried through the Lenovo website, Lenovo Diagnostic and Lenovo Vantage to understand what the problem was..

But after checking: drivers, software and hardware, everything is in perfect working order. So I can't understand what the problem is. Any Tips???

Thanks in advance !

Graphic problems with Lenovo Y910 80V Ideapad

Hi, Artifacts like that are very often related to hardware issues with VRAM of your GPU. I hope that's not the case, but this is what it looks like to me. What is making this situation more optimistic is that you mentioned it's happening only after your screen goes to sleep (or the whole PC?). Artifacts due to faulty video memory usually occur under stress. You could try downloading a GPU OC tool like MSI afterburner and try to lower the frequency of your GPU and see if that helps.

Hi!
I tried as you recommended, just done test and scan and I can lower the core clock, voltage ecc ecc

.. the problem I can't understand what it is, even though now thanks to MSI Afterburner I find that the temperature while I play is around!!90'C (194'F) !! OMG!!

It should be around 70 !! I'm really scare to burning my pc ..

And surely if there are some damages around they are related to too high temperature ..
